Work for God

Work.  Plenty of it.  But not enough workers. There are vacancies available now.  A call to stop sleeping and start working.  Join God's workforce.  The harvest is ready.  Be stirred to serve.

Worldliness

There is a love that God hates.  The love of the world.  The world gets a grip on people.  Where is your allegiance? Your affection?  Do you dare, do you care, to please God?

The Offence of the Cross

Warning.  This message is offensive.  The cross.  It offends men's pride and self worth and religion.  It offends men's wisdom and works.  But this message is our only answer.

Our Hope

A hopeless case?  There's many, 'having no hope, and without God in the world'.  Depression and suicide reflects the vain hopes of the hopeless.  Yet hope can be found in the most hopeless of situations.  Where is that sure hope to be found?  As an anchor of the soul it is both sure and stedfast.  Words of hope.

Our Amazing God

1 Peter 1:3-5  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  (4)  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,  (5)  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Do as I have done to you

The last supper.  It was shocking.  The master became a servant and washed feet.  Will you take a towel?  Will you follow His example of selfless service?  Will you be half hearted or serve well?  An encouraging message about how you can better serve God and others.

Foundations

Building on the right foundation is fundamental.  How is the building project of your life?  On what is it founded?  Foundations matter and you'll want to get them right.  What makes a life grounded and strong?  There is a sure foundation.

The Priesthood of All Believers

You're a priest!  The doctrine of the priesthood of all believers says every believer is a priest in the worship of God.  So step into the sacred place of worship.  And step up into the special place of the royal calling that you have, as kings, chosen of God into special relationship with Him.  And step out into service, offering spiritual sacrifices, to be as engaged Christians, actively seeking to do His will.

What are we here for?

A visioning exercise.  We have reached a fork in the road.  A question for God's church: What are we here for, and where to from here?  Some of the things are that we are here to know God, to follow hard after God, to follow His leading.  We are here for harvest, for conquest.  The Lord is looking for a people who will stand in gap, be zealous of good works, and grow in grace.  And all for the glory of God!

Our Identification

A series in 1 Peter by Pastor Adam.

"Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers... Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

At Ease in Zion?

A stirring up from slumber. Amos was burdened. Woe to the careless! Judgment is at the doors. And the church, by and large, is sleepy. Christian couch potatoes. Idol worshippers. With David, Samson and Jonah their love of ease was their downfall. A rousing call to awake, to zeal, to action. We must sound the alarm. We have become too comfortable and unconcerned. The church is dormant while the world around us is damned. We've been in the comfort zone too long. How we desperately need a stirring up of the slumbering to revived passion and power. How can we stir up ourselves to take hold of God? Disturb us, O Lord we pray!
