Three Faithful Men

The city was in party mode for Babylon's big day out.  The king's rock band struck up the jazzy tune.  Yet three partypoopers would not go along and bow down - Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.  They rained on the king's parade and he was livid.  Lessons we can learn today from three faithful men.  Will you follow the crowd - and pay homage to Australian idols?  Or will you live under Biblical authority and know God's awesome blessing? Is it true?  Yes it is.  Our lives can be rightly governed by the Word of Truth.   We can choose good company - and stand with other faithful ones.  And whatever fire we face will be for our good, and for God's glory.  Don't bow or bend, but stand!

Brokenness

In Psalm 51 David's life was a shattered mess. Yet God uses him and others broken, such as Jacob, Joseph, Job, and Samson. Brokenness is everywhere. Broken hearts, homes, hopes, health... God's broken people can become the true heroes. As Gideon and his small army picture a broken vessel, our lives, shining forth God's glory. Brokenness can bring blessing, as we yield to the will of the Potter. He mends the broken and makes us whole.

Dare to be a Daniel - An excellent spirit

Daniel had a an excellent spirit - Daniel 6:3. Pro 17:27 He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. An excellent spirit shows through in your loyalty, your character, and your affections. Are you a person of character? With allegiance, integrity, and unwavering faith. He’s a model of Excellence. In His Purpose, his Public Testimony, his Prayerfulness. Can we aspire to be excellent?

Daniel's faith was evident in his purpose, his public testimony, and his prayerful life.  A life lived with Excellence.

Standing Strong

Bible study from the life of Daniel. You don’t have to wait for a certain age to start serving God. Many teens – like David, Joseph, and Samuel – show how we can stand strong and obey Him NOW.
