Living A Pure Life

At Ease in Zion?

A stirring up from slumber. Amos was burdened. Woe to the careless! Judgment is at the doors. And the church, by and large, is sleepy. Christian couch potatoes. Idol worshippers. With David, Samson and Jonah their love of ease was their downfall. A rousing call to awake, to zeal, to action. We must sound the alarm. We have become too comfortable and unconcerned. The church is dormant while the world around us is damned. We've been in the comfort zone too long. How we desperately need a stirring up of the slumbering to revived passion and power. How can we stir up ourselves to take hold of God? Disturb us, O Lord we pray!

Be ye Separate

The Bible teaches us of the truth of the separated life.  The Biblical doctrine of separation calls for careful examination of our associations and fellowship.  Will we stand for righteousness and truth?  Will we stand for Christ and come out from error?  It is an imperative.  A command.  Be ye separate.

Fellowship

What is church? A Sanctuary, a Fellowship - as God designed it - means a privilege, a partnership, protection, and a joint participation. If you neglect to fellowship, you neglect your soul!

The Remnant

The doctrine of the Remnant. A recurring biblical theme is God's faithful remnant people who hold fast to God's genuine message. This small band stays sure and true through the pages of scripture and is seen in the record of history, in the persecuted church. Chances are if you're in the minority you're in good company! How will we recognise the remnant and be sure we're a part of it?

It was February 1989 that I made our first 'Fair Dinkum' Magazine, on a humble typewriter, while Julie and I were living in outback Australia with our three children. 

'Fair Dinkum' in Aussie lingo means real, true, genuine. 

Now, 25 years on, it's still going strong!  We've sent out over 80,000 printed copies. An astonishing 2.5 million pages, collated, stapled, and freely posted out to readers all over! 

Purity of the Church

God's design is for His church to be built after His Pattern.  The strength of the church is its purity in doctrine and practice.   It's amazing how God uses fallible people to be His living stones to build His church. I love the church!  Thank God, He uses the imperfect to be His own special people, the called out.

Sanctification ~ Holiness

Restoring The Reverence

2 Corinthians 7:1 ...Perfecting holiness in the fear of God… Some things are counted worthy of reverence. In the Word of God we see an awe-inspiring sense of the soul-transforming presence of the Holy God. There’s a reverence and honour… His Name - Psalm 111:9, The Sanctuary, The Home, The Sabbath, The Word, The Aged. Our Service ought to be holy.

True Biblical holiness isn’t about… Narrow-mindedness and legalism, it is about belonging to God, and the 'wholeness' and true quality of life that He brings. Real reverence has gone missing. A call for a return to God-centred worship and living.
